If there’s one time during the year when you can wish for impossible dreams, it’s during the holidays. We at Blend Television had no trouble coming up with our own TV related “Dear Santa” list. This isn’t our wishlist filled with actual things we hope to receive this Christmas (DVDs, DVRs, etc). That list can be found here. This is our list of Christmas wishes and fictional gifts that we would love for Santa to leave under the tree for us this year if he gets around to it. We realize that many of these requests are unlikely or downright impossible to be granted but as I said; it’s Christmastime. If you cant wish for it now, when can you?

General TV Wishes

  • For the writers strike to end (with the writers coming out winners) so that our shows can resume as scheduled. Especially, 24, Lost, Heroes, The Office, Scrubs and 30 Rock.

  • Or, if the writers strike has to go on, for Battlestar Galactica’s season 4 premiere date to be moved up to January. April is just too far away!

  • For 24 to return in January and if not, for Sarah Connor Chronicles to be so good that it will lessen the pain of going a whole year without Jack Bauer.

  • For Olive (played by Kristin Chenoweth) to sing at least once in every episode of Pushing Daisies - even if its only a few bars of a song.

  • For more people to realize how legen-(wait for it)-dary How I Met Your Mother is.

  • For Judd Apatow, who has finally received the recognition and appreciation he deserves due to the success of 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up, to return to television and give us another Freaks and Geeks-type series.

  • For Lipstick Jungle to be just as good as Sex and the City was.

  • For every TV show ever made to be available to download or watch streaming online.

Heroes Wishes:

  • For Elle (played by Kristen Bell) to turn into a good guy on Heroes and not die anytime soon.

  • For Maya to drown in her own black inky eye gook

  • For the writers of Heroes to tell the story in a more linear fashion next season so that we don’t have to spend half the season trying to figure out what the hell is going on. A little mystery and vagueness is always good for suspense purposes but it’s not as fun when you spend most of the time feeling frustrated when watching rather than entertained.

List of Even More Unrealistic Wishes For TV Related Things We Would Love

  • Kelly West has requested a delivery from The Pie Hole containing Chuck’s special apple pie with the Gruyere crust that she makes for her aunts. (Pushing Daisies) and an all-inclusive weekend stay at the Schrute Beet Farm (The Office).

  • Katey Rich would like Tina Fey’s hair and to be serenaded by Flight of the Conchords’s Bret and Jemaine.

  • Jon Costantino would like for people to stop giving him dirty looks whenever he says he doesn’t like Curb Your Enthusiasm and for his apartment to rotate so that he can get a satellite dish instead of having to rely on cable.

  • Jane Boursaw would like to see a Sopranos movie made and for Heidi Klum to stop being so robotic on Project Runway.

  • Kona Gallagher would like for Miranda Bailey to get her own Grey’s Anatomy spinoff, featuring everyone from the current show (and Addison) except for Meredith.
