So a few years ago, I dated this jerky Midwestern Emo-type dude. During our brief relationship, I learned all about The Plain White T’s, Fall-Out Boy and other fascinating things that would make me seem totally cool at any middle school. In the top 8 of his garishly-decorated MySpace page? Tila Tequila. It was at that point I learned an important lesson: Any guy who could spend more than two seconds on Tila Tequila’s busted-ass page is not worth your time.
But I recognize not everyone is me. If fake boobs, horrific singing and flash-in-the-pan internet celebritydom is your thing, then boy oh boy, does MTV have the show for you. A Shot At Love with Tila Tequila is a dating show with a twist. Instead of a bunch of guys vying for the affections of MySpace’s most popular member, the bisexual Tequila will choose from a pool of eligible men and women. According to MTV’s press release, “the finalists [will] move into her mansion, live together, and each week Tila will narrow down her suitors.” Please. There is zero chance that girl actually lives anywhere other than a crappy studio on the crazy side of Sunset Avenue. We know it’s your mansion, MTV. You don’t have to lie to us.
