FX Does Illegal Immigrant P.I. Drama

If you could only have access to one cable network, which one would you choose? ESPN? CNN? Fox News? Bravo? What about FX? Ten years ago even including FX in this conversation would have been laughable, but with the success of Rescue Me, The Shield, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and more recently, Sons Of Anarchy, The League and Terriers, the cable network now boasts an arsenal of must-watch shows. If this new one is half as good as it could be, the whole best cable network question might no longer be a debate.

According to Deadline, Rodrigo Garcia, son of famed novelist Gael Garcia Marquez, is executive producing and directing a new FX show about a private investigating illegal immigrant. The program will reportedly be very dark, located in Los Angeles and feature people from all walks of life reaching out for the investigator’s services.

I know we’re still absent lead actors and an overall story arc, but I can’t help but be excited at the thought of a private investigator not named Jason Schwartzman returning to the small screen. Nothing against Schwartzman, he’s just more hipster elite than hungry vigilante.
