HBO Cancels The Life And Times Of Tim

Animated series The Life & Times of Tim had been airing on HBO so quietly that I wasn't even aware it existed, and now, alas, I'll probably never get to know it. Deadline Hollywood reports that HBO has pulled the plug on the series after two seasons, but there's still hope-- the producers are shopping it to other networks that might be interested.

They're eyeing Comedy Central and TBS, and apparently there's some interest from at least one of those networks. They'd need to pick up the existing 20 episodes as well as a potential new season, so it's basically buying a bunch of built-in re-runs plus more content if they actually want to spend money on it. Oddly enough Tim's timeslot partner at HBO, the also animated The Ricky Gervais Show, has been renewed by the network. I guess poor Tim is going to have to make it out in the world on his own from now on.
