Judy Greer Joins Nat Faxon In FX Comedy Pilot

Judy Greer's played so many co-starring roles, she could probably write a book about it. Actually, she is writing a book about that. But she's also keeping busy on screen. We just saw the actress returning to her role as the oft-excitable Kitty Sanchez in Arrested Development, and she scored herself an ape-role in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. But the actor isn't all about co-starring. At least, she won't be if things go well for the comedy pilot she's set to star in for FX.

The pilot comes from Andrew Gurland and, according to Deadline, has yet to be titled. Greer will play Lina Bowman, wife to Nat Faxon's character Russ Bowman. They're living in a new city, raising three young daughters and trying to keep to salvage their marriage, which works on all fronts, except in the bedroom. In an effort to fix that problem, Lina - who "would rather curl up with vampire fan fiction" than attend to her husband's physical needs - opts to outsource her bedroom obligations, giving her husband permission to "take care of his needs elsewhere." Maybe it seems like a workable plan for a couple who's happy in every other area of their marriage, but TV comedies tend to ignore "the plan" and yield their own humorous outcomes.

This comedy joins Death Pact - starring Tracy Morgan - among the comedy pilots in development at FX. Greer's really long over-due for a starring role in a show that sticks. She has a lengthy list of great comedic credits, with roles in Californication, Arrested Development, Two and a Half Men and a voice-role in Archer. And she had a starring role in the CBS comedy Mad Love, but the show didn't make it past its first season. Hopefully this project will go to series at FX.

In the meantime, say goodbye to these...
