Lady Gaga's Life Story Will Be A Lifetime Original Movie, But Don't Count On A Big Star For It

Lady Gaga is probably the most fascinating public figure right now, or at least the most unpredictable. But her life story is really pretty ordinary-- she was born in the Bronx, went to NYU to study music, and at some point became one of the most famous people on the planet. If there are drug addictions or scandals in there somewhere, they won't come out until much further down the road. So while the true Lady Gaga biopic may still be coming down the road, for now, we're gonna get the next best thing: a Lifetime Original Movie.

OK, so it's not exactly the next best thing, but it'll do for now. Deadline reports that that the network is developing Fame Monster: The Lady Gaga Story, based on a 2010 book by Maureen Callahn that, wouldn't you know it, also stole its title from one of her songs-- Poker Face: The Rise And Rise Of Lady Gaga. Also unsurprisingly, the megastar won't be involved in the movie, which is close to getting a greenlight. You know that when she's ready to tell her own life story, it's going to be way weirder and more interesting than a Lifetime movie.

In fact, the low-rent nature of it might keep the really interesting actors from signing on board-- speculate all you want about this or that rising starlet signing on to play Gaga, but my guess is it will be someone at lot less interesting and famous than you're hoping for. Feel free to give your suggestions in the comments, but I have a feeling Hayden Panettiere might be waiting by her phone right now.
