Margarita Levieva Will Return To Revenge For Season 2

We were left hanging on a number of pretty major character issues when ABC's Revenge wrapped up its first season. Among them was a big surprise regarding Emily Thorne's sort-of friend and identity exchanger Amanda Clarke. It's at this point that you'll want to stop reading here if you haven't gotten around to finishing up the first season of Revenge. Season 1 spoilers ahead!

When last we saw Margarita Levieva, she as looking especially pregnant and Jack is presumably the father. That's a big presumably. At this point, I believe she's pregnant, but I wouldn't put it past her to claim Jack's the dad. We don't really know what she and Satoshi Takeda were up to between the time Amanda disappeared after the night Tyler was shot and the time she returned all pregnant and doe-eyed. I have a theory about that, which I'll get to in a minute, but before that, the good-bad news for Amanda fans is that she will most definitely be back for Season 2. Deadline is reporting that Margarita Levieva has signed on to appear in at least seven of the first fourteen episodes of Season 2. So anyone hoping Amanda and her unborn baby might ship off to parts unknown, leaving Jack unattached and available to pursue whatever romantic options (Emily!) might be presented to him are probably out of luck, at least for now.

As for my theory about the baby, while I think it must be real (didn't we see Jack rubbing her belly in the finale?), perhaps it isn't his. And if it isn't, maybe Takeda encouraged her to return to the Hamptons and convince Jack it is. Perhaps he thought it might be the best way to keep Emily's eye on the prize. Anyone else have any theories?

If there is some alternate truth about the baby, I doubt we'll learn it right away. Something tells me they'll want to stretch that one out for a while. And it sounds like they'll have Levieva's Amanda around to do just that.
