With 30 Rock drawing to a close at the end of the month, NBC has a special hour-long episode planned, and the network is bringing in some guest stars to pepper throughout those extra minutes of run time. Today, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi announced she will be making a cameo during 30 Rock’s finale, which will air on January 31.

Currently, we have no details about what role Pelosi will play in the plot, but she did tell The Washington Post she will have a cameo in the episode, so presumably she’ll be playing herself. Pelosi seems pleased as punch about her small comedic role, as well.
“I would do almost anything Tina Fey asks me to do.”

Note the “almost anything.” Spoken like a true politician. Pelosi isn’t the first person of political ilk to step into a role on 30 Rock. Big names like Condoleezza Rice and Al Gore have shown up in the past. Nor is Pelosi the only guest appearance slated for the established comedy’s finale. Both Ice-T and Julianne Moore—who have played characters on the hit comedy in the past—are also slated to show up during the last episode of the series. Something tells me we may hear several more names added to the roster before the final episode of 30 Rock airs. The episode was already taped last month, however, and a wrap-up party followed, so there won't be any last minute additions to the cast, although some surprises could still leak before the airdate.

30 Rock’s final episode will air on January 31 at 8 p.m. ET.
