Rihanna has taken a note from some of her competition, including Justin Bieber and Beyoncé, and put together a TV documentary following her most recent tour. Rihanna 777 has been picked up by Fox for a May 6 premiere date.

Rihanna’s most recent album is actually called Unapologetic, which makes the title for the tour, 777, a little strange if you don't already know the backstory. The tour was a crazy publicity stunt that had the singer jet-setting across 7 countries to give 7 concerts in 7 days, with a 777 plane filled with fans and reporters in tow at every turn. Apparently, most of the reporters who were charted around for a week didn’t get much access to Rihanna, but we’ll have to wait and see if the Fenty Films production, in conjunction with Love Live and Gravité Creative, actually got some TV-worthy footage of the crazy tour event.

According to THR, Fox’s bid to bring Rihanna’s documentary to the network may mean Rihanna is at the top of the list of potential judging talent for a singing competition show. Rihanna has done some TV work in the past, and The X Factor has a few judges spots open, now that both Britney Spears and L.A. Reid won’t be back for Season 3. If the documentary does well, it could mean Rihanna will get an offer to branch out into judging. Rihanna’s never wanted to be a rolemodel, but luckily, that’s not a requirement for judging singing competition programs. We’ll let you know when Rihanna 777 gets an official premiere time.
