Despite being a cancer survivor myself, Showtime's The Big C never quite hooked me, so I never watched beyond the pilot. Obviously the show connected with many viewers in ways it didn't with me, because the show is about to dive into its third season on April 8th. It's continuing to tell the story of Cathy Jamison, a woman living under the shadow of a dire cancer diagnosis. From the look of things, though, it seems her prognosis may be looking a little more sunny this season. Showtime has posted a trailer for the third season, and you can check it out below to see what's in store, including guest roles by Susan Sarandon, Alan Alda, and Victor Garber.

The Big C returns to Showtime on Sunday, April 8th at 9:30/8:30c. As for me, I'll just rewatch 50/50 instead.
