Sunday Night Drama Queen: Entourage

Sunday night’s episode of ‘Entourage’ marked the end of the road for Turtle and Saigon’s partnership but the beginning of a new partnership with Vince and veteran producer Bob (played by Martin Landau). Nothing big happened with Drama but once again, he made us laugh with his typical Dramaness.

It wouldn’t be ‘Entourage’ without a bit of sex in it. Vince decides he wants to go to the bookstore and ends up meeting a girl. They spend part of the day shopping and the rest of the day in bed. When Vince tells the girl he’d like to see her again, she confesses that she’s engaged but that its ok because Vince was on “her list”. Anyone see the ‘Friends’ episode about “The List”? Basically, Rachel and Ross each had a list of 3 celebrities who, if they had the chance to sleep with them, they had each other’s permission. Well apparently this girl Vince spent the day with had a list and Vince was on it and she seriously believes what she did was ok. I guess it all depends on whether or not the list was laminated.

Poor Turtle. He’s all ready for his big day. Saigon is supposed to get signed today but when Turtle and Drama get to the record producers office, Saigon never shows. After some brilliant sleuth work on Drama’s part, they track Saigon down a hotel. Saigon tells Turtle that he had a previous contract with another manager from back in the day and he’s decided to honor that contract. Drama foolishly tries to stand up to the other manager and ends up getting hung over the balcony. Saigon agrees to pay Turtle the money he would’ve made off the deal. Two hilarious lines take place in this scene. The first is when the thuggish manager references ‘Viking Quest’ when threatening Drama and Drama, despite being upside down over the balcony ledge is pleased that the guy watched the show. After they pull Drama back up, he tells Turtle he should’ve held out for more because he thinks he could’ve made the pool. Drama really does make this show.

After Eric calls Ari a Douche-bag, Ari gets even by sending Eric off to lunch with Bob-the-producer. This worked out well for Ari because it was clear he didn’t want to spend any time with Bob (who showed up at Ari’s swanky new office without an appointment). After Eric spends half the day listening to Bob reminisce about his glory days in Hollywood, he sees a picture of Bob with Joey Ramone. Eric tells him that if he has a project about a Ramones movie, he’d be interested. As it happened, Bob did have a dead script about the Ramones and after reading it, Eric decides this is going to be Vince’s next movie.

The episode ends with Bob, Eric and Vince approaching Ari with the Ramones script titled “I Wanna Be Sedated”. Could this be Vince’s next movie? Eric loved the script and they think because Joey Ramone is dead that the timing for the movie is perfect. I guess we’ll have to see what Ari thinks about this potential project.
