TBS Matches Silverman And MacDonald With Game Show

It looks like TBS could be bringing back The Match Game and what’s more, Sarah Silverman and Norm MacDonald have signed on to join the show. If the game show does go to series, it wouldn’t be the first time the popular game show, The Match Game was revived since its original run back in the 60’s.

The series involves the contestants trying answer a bunch of fill in the blank statements in the hopes that their answer will match those of the celebrities on the panel. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Silverman and MacDonald have been signed on as two of the panelists in the episode’s pilot. Some previous celebrity panelists include Brett Somers and Richard Dawson. Andrew Daly, who in addition to appearing in Semi-Pro, also played the role of the fake Ben Franklin in an episode of The Office, is set to host the show.

Silverman’s been on fire lately. Not only has she had success with her own Comedy Central series, she also made a great comedic splash when she presented her “I’m F***ing Matt Damon” video to Jimmy Kimmel earlier this year. It should be interesting to see how Silverman does on The Match Game, as well as former SNL comedian, Norm MacDonald, should TBS decide to pick the series up.
