TV Recap: My Boys - Carpe Burritoem

PJ has turned into Brendan’s very own Jiminy Cricket. See, he always makes the worst decisions so she’s taken that little life process away from him from for one week to see if it improves his life. I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t want some one who never takes any risks choosing my fate. Although PJ does seem to have some good things going on. Hmm. Maybe she’s onto something after all.

PJ does a good job in the beginning. She keeps him from eating poorly and gets him dressing better. It’s all going perfectly until he meets a girl. A crazy, weird girl he can’t stay away from. She tells him to forget about the girl but little PJ loses this one and he runs out of Crowley’s after the mystery girl. He’s gone so long he misses the debut of the Kenny Moriarty Band. When he finally comes back, he says the girl is indeed crazy. They had sex in a zoo and he almost died twice but it was maybe the best two days of his life. Go figure.

Yup, while Brendan was gone, Kenny started a band. Not sure what type of music they play but he already has their album cover shoot set up and he figures they have to spend 20 hours a week practicing to get to the next level. He also gives homework (write 5 songs a week). He’s so into it the other members, including Andy, kick Kenny Moriarty out of the Kenny Moriarty Band. He is just too intense. I always wondered what Kenny did all day and I guess after we saw him last week sitting in his store all day, we know he desperately needs a hobby. Just not one that involves ordering other people around. He’s not nearly as sweet as PJ when he does it.

Maybe Kenny can start being Stephanie’s break-up dummy. It seemed to work well for Mike. You know, since Stephanie is a big relationship expert now, she holds seminars to help women break up with their bad boyfriends. Mike met some one after being the dummy. If Mike can do it, Kenny can, too. Or maybe he can just hook up with Stephanie again because that was high-larious. Either way, he’s got to do something to keep himself busy. The rest of the gang seems to be busy constantly so…Let’s give him a little encouragement. I think he needs that more than begging. Come on, Kenny, you can get a life. I know you can. You go work on it this week and we’ll see how you’re doing.
