Ted Danson Helps Me Help You This Fall

Ted Danson has had a very successful career in television with shows like ‘Cheers’ and ‘Becker’ on his resume. His newest project is a show called ‘Help Me Help You’ on ABC. Set to air this fall, Danson will play Bill Hoffman, the leader of a therapy group for people with social anxiety. The show sounds full of quirkiness and as it’s executive producer, Alex Reid is responsible for ‘Malcolm In The Middle’ it has all the makings of a hit.

If there’s one thing USA’s hit show ‘Monk’ has proven, it’s that people love behavioral disorders. Danson’s character in ‘Help Me Help You’ is not only the group therapist; he’s also got his own behavioral issues to contend to. The character has been described by Danson as neurotic. The writers insist that they are not mocking behavioral disorders or group therapy. The point of the show is to focus on Danson’s character and how good he is at what he does.

‘Help Me Help You’ premieres Thursday, September 26, on ABC. In the meantime, if you need to get your Danson fix, I suggest reruns of ‘Cheers’ or if you’re really desperate, rent Made In America.
