AMC made a number of announcements regarding their original series at the TCA press tour today. Here are the updates on The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Mad Men and AMC’s upcoming new original series The Killing

According to a Tweet by E’s Jennifer Arrow, The Walking Dead’s second season will consist of 13 episodes. (That’s seven more than Season 1!) No Season 2 premiere date was announced.

Mad Men will return for Season 5 but no specific premiere date was mentioned for that one either.

According to the Hollywood Reporter Season 4 of Breaking Bad will begin shooting in Albuquerque, New Mexico next week. Season 4 will consist of thirteen episodes and will premiere sometime this summer.

The Killing does have a premiere date. AMC announced that the series, which is based on a popular Danish show Forbrydelse, will premiere on April 3rd at 10:00 p.m. The show is set in Seattle and will tell the story of the murder of a young girl and the investigation that follows. Cold Case’s Veena Sud is set to write/exec-produce the series.
