William Devane To Guest Star On Revenge

There’s another Grayson headed to the Hamptons. The latest bit of casting news gives us a little bit of info as to what’s in the near future for ABC’s Revenge. With that said, consider yourselves only mildly spoiler warned for the time-being.

Some will recognize William Devane for his role as Gregory Sumner on Knots Landing. Others may know him for playing Secretary of Defense James Heller on 24. He’s had plenty of other parts between those two roles and more than a handful since. Coming soon, Revenge fans will see him on the series for two episodes. According to Entertainment Weekly, he’ll be playing Edward Grayson, Conrad’s father and Victoria’s father-in-law. He’ll be brought into the show when Victoria summons him to help her with her divorce against Conrad. Does that mean Edward and Conrad aren’t close?

He’s the more spoilery bit of information to go with this news. Devane will appear in episodes 14 and 15, both of which are scheduled to air in February. If you’ve been keeping up with the spoilers, you might recalled that Episode 15 is the one which will reveal the beach shooting and hopefully give us more of an idea of what exactly happened in the flash-forward we saw at the very start of the series. Whether or not Edward Grayson has anything to do with the shooting, EW doesn’t say, but it sounds like there’s a good possibility that he’ll be at that party, at the very least.

We have a while to wait for those episodes to air. Fortunately, the wait for Revenge’s return isn’t so long. The series will be back from the holiday-hiatus on January 4th. Watch the preview here.
