Call Of Duty: Ghosts Frame Stutter Issues Are Horrendous On PC

Holy snaps, it's like Activision and Infinity Ward took the foot-shooting gun from Microsoft and decided to test it out on themselves for no reason whatsoever... no reason at all. A new video from TotalBiscuit showcases Call of Duty: Ghosts on PC running at 1080p on an Nvidia GTX Titan in SLI and guess what? The game runs like trash!

Earlier yesterday we reported on Call of Duty: Ghosts having frame stuttering issues on the PlayStation 4, and shortly there after we reported on Call of Duty: Ghosts also dropping frames in the Xbox One version of the game. Well, now, we have the pleasure of letting you know that Call of Duty: Ghosts has massive frame stuttering issues, even in the options menu. Just watch the video below and prepare to wipe your mouth off the floor.


For those of you wondering why I didn't point you to a specific time frame in the video as to when the frame stutter starts, it's because it's throughout the entire video!

Within the very first minute of the video, the game hangs a couple of times in just the options menu. It's absurd.

It's actually worse in the real game, yes worse. Fast forward to about the 15 minute mark and you'll see that during the indoor segments Ghosts moves pretty good but once he goes outside and starts shooting even with YouTube's pathetic 30fps compression rate the game dips pretty bad, dropping frames more than avid alcoholics drop their newborn kids. It's... absurd.

But hot dang, TotalBiscuit makes it known that his FPS counter shows that the game averages 45 frames per second. 45 frames per second! On a GTX Titan? That's... absurd.

After about the 12 minute mark TB basically just rips the game apart, pixel by pixel, texture by texture and frame drop by frame drop.

In a way, I will have to concede that any negative comments against the Xbox One I've made regarding the piss poor performance exhibited by Call of Duty: Ghosts could be unwarranted because this game is just a shoddy excuse of piss poor software design. That doesn't excuse the fact that the game still runs native 1080p on PS4 and only 720p on the Xbox One.

As noted by TB, the thing that really makes this scenario so pathetic is how high the system requirements are for Call of Duty: Ghosts, a game that requires 50GB of disc space, a game that requires a 64-bit system, and a game that falsely requires 6GB of RAM. I should note that the RAM requirement has been proven to be an artificial requirement. I'm sorry but fish AI and Rambo Lassie just don't require those kind of demanding resources.

Yes, the game's system requirements are practically fake; artificially upscaled like the Xbox One's resolution to 1080p.

By this point, you should really take note to avoid this game on PC. This isn't a review and you can take TotalBiscuit's word with a grain of salt if you're that kind of gamer, but reports are coming in from across major PC enthusiast sites that many gamers are running into the exact same problems on the PC version of CoD: Ghosts. The evidence is insurmountably weighed against Infinity Ward's outing as being nothing more than a shoddy port on every console except for maybe the Xbox 360 and PS3.
