Pachter has said that EA could delay Grand Theft Auto IV, which at first may cause an outcry. Why? Why, evil master have you done this vile thing? The observant among you may wonder what the hell EA has to do with it, since GTA IV is a Take-Two property. EA isn’t in the picture.
The potential delay of 2008’s most anticipated title comes from speculation that if EA acquires Take-Two in the coming weeks they’d delay Nico’s tale for the financially friendly fourth quarter. Speaking on Bonus Round, Pachter explained why Take-Two isn’t already doing that: ”Take-Two, financially, has to get that game out.”
Not so much for EA. So if you needed a reason to rail against EA’s acquisition of Take-Two, then your joy of riding in Liberty City is first on the list. But now for the countdown to EA’s response that they would not delay GTA IV begins….
