Sony is about to offer PlayStation Plus subscribers a new perk. Starting on Thursday, they'll have the ability to store their game saves online.
PlayStation Plus members will be able to store up to 150 MB of their PS3 game save data and a maximum of 1000 data files per PSN account. It's a way to save some HDD space on your system and also access your save files when playing on a different PS3. Most previously released PS3 titles will support online storage and all new titles will do so as well. The cloud saves feature will go live with system software update v3.60. It will be available for download on Thursday. PlayStation Plus also gives subscribers exclusive access to betas, free games, and full game trials among other things. It costs $49.99 for a year's subscription and $17.99 for three months. You can get three months for free by signing up for a year right now. |
