Super Smash Bros. 3DS And Wii U Roster Revealed

You no longer have to wonder whether your favorite character made it into Super Smash Bros. 3DS and Wii U. Twitch streamers with early copies of the game have discovered the full roster.

The streamers confirmed many of the characters allegedly outed last month. These leaked characters included the Dog from Duck Hunt, failed NES peripheral R.O.B., and Ness from Earthbound. Not all of the newly revealed fighters were throwbacks, though. Shulk, the main character from Wii exclusive Xenoblade Chronicles, is joining the battle as well.

A few characters from previous Smash Bros. games didn't make it onto SSB 3DS and Wii U's roster. Lucas from Earthbound, the playable characters from Ice Climbers, Star Fox's Wolf, and Snake from Metal Gear are all no-shows.

Here's the full roster of characters in alphabetical order. You'll need to play 70 versus matches to get them all:

Super Smash Bros. 3DS will arrive in Japan this weekend. The game will then hit North America and Europe on October 3rd. Super Smash Bros. Wii U hasn't been dated yet.

Nintendo plans to hold a "Live @ the Treehouse" video event tomorrow. During the eight-hour event, they'll show off the final version of the game. Even though the roster's been leaked earlier, the Twitch stream should be worth checking out if you're hoping to see these various characters in action. Nintendo plans to show off other upcoming Wii U and 3DS games at the event as well. Maybe they'll finally provide a release date for the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros.?

The revealed roster probably won't make Ryan happy. He was hoping for Crono and Neku, among others. What do you all think about the roster, though? Did they miss any of your favorites?
