Bryan Cranston Roars In New Behind The Scenes Look At Godzilla
Have you ever dreamt of getting to hear Bryan Cranston's impression of the famous Godzilla screech? Well, then I have some good news because you'll find just that (plus a good bit more) in Entertainment Tonight Canada's trip behind the scenes of Gareth Edwards' upcoming monster movie.
After being in development for years and years, Godzilla is finally coming back to the big screen this summer, and as you can see in the mini-featurette above he has a pretty solid group of actors that are going to be running around his feet. Not only does the award-winning star of Breaking Bad play an important role in the story, the film also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, and David Strathairn.
It's hard to gather much from any of the on-set footage that is shown in the ET clip, but one thing does appear to be for certain: Bryan Cranston's character is going to be severely injured at one point in the movie. You can clearly see him many times throughout the clip having his head wrapped in bandages and lying down on a gurney being ready to be taken to a hospital. I don't think this is too spoiler-y, as it's not like they are showing a character's death scene, but it is something to take note of.
Max Borenstein, who also wrote the upcoming fantasy adventure Seventh Son, penned the script for the Godzilla reboot, which is set in Japan and follows a group of characters as they try to survive attacks from skyscraper-sized behemoths. The first trailer for the movie dropped last month, and in case you haven't seen it yet, it's pretty goddamn awesome. You can watch it below:
Godzilla will be in theaters on May 16th.
