Our craggy-faced new James Bond Daniel Craig is taking a break from bedding beautiful women to join the Russians. Screen Daily reports that he’s signed on to the new movie from Last Samurai director Ed Zwick. It’s called Defiance.
In Defiance four brothers flee Nazi occupied Poland during World War II and hide in the forest with a bunch of Jews. There, they meet up with and join the Russian Resistance. No word on who Craig will play specifically, but it’s probably safe to assume he’s one of the four brothers… though I’ve always though Craig has a sort of Nazi look going. He is blonde after all.
Craig can next be seen opposite Nicole Kidman in the alien epidemic movie Invasion later this year. He’s also in the Golden Compass movie coming out this fall, he’s working on a movie with Ewan McGregor called I, Lucifer where he plays Satan, he’s scheduled to star in Blindness where he’ll be the only person who can see in a town full if sightless people, and then there’s a little something called Bond 22 still to come.
