Latest Amazing Spider-Man 2 Set Photo Gets Presidential
Bryan Singer has his mysterious hallways on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past, but Marc Webb is playing around with former presidents.
Following Singer's latest Twitter set photo from earlier today, the Amazing Spider-Man 2 director has unveiled the latest shot from the production and it's one hell of a head-scratcher. Previous shots from the filmmaker have included looks at Oscorp equipment, huge gimbal setups a pair of FBI agents, and even a mysterious metal locker, but today's image is easily the most bizarre of all. Check it out:
For those unfamiliar with their United States history, that's President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, only for some reason his face is constructed out of Post-it notes. Is it a clue about the plot or just a cool piece of production design that Webb wanted to make sure got noticed? The Tweet came with the message "Day 12. #thepassage," but sadly that doesn't really make things any clearer. I like to think that the director is delivering archaic clues that fans are meant to decipher through their knowledge of Spidey history, but this one just seems totally random.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is shooting now and set to be released on May 2, 2014. Perhaps someday soon Webb will give us a look at the new Spider-Man suit or even maybe our first glimpse at Jamie Foxx as Electro or Paul Giamatti as The Rhino, but for now we'll just be working to put together all of the strange puzzle pieces that he's been delivering on a daily basis.
