Mandy Moore keeps getting busier. Apparently seven films in varying stages of production isn't enough for her, because the former pop-singer turned respectable movie star has signed up for another.

Movie Hole reports that Mandy will star in the movie Twist of Fate, a thriller (no not of the erotic variety, stop that) about a couple whose lives are turned upside down after a hit-and-run accident. Presumably there will be a little more to their troubles than the usual, obligatory battle with insurance. That wouldn't be thrilling, it's usually just depressing. Especially if they didn't have rental coverage.

The movie is directed by Jennifer Elster, who has so far made her starvation starring in, writing, and directing her own low budget indies. With Mandy Moore on board her next one, Jennifer is sure to get some attention for this one.

Also in talks to join the cast is James McAvoy, who did a fantastic job in The Chronicles of Narnia as brave Mr. Tumnus.
