Watchmen Set Photos![]()
I’m ridiculously excited about Zack Snyder’s upcoming adaptation of Watchmen, but not excited enough to find this story interesting. Maybe you are. Read on and find out.
The fan site Watchmencomicmovie.com has scored photos from the general vicinity around the set of Watchmen in Vancouver. What I mean by that is they don’t actually have any pictures of anything interesting, but they do have some lovely shots of the catering trailers that may have been involved in feeding the cast. They’ve also got some lovely photos of a kid putting on overalls, presumably to walk around in the background of a shot while important things go on. Yes, these photos suck, but they’re the first we’ve seen from the movie so until something better comes along it’s all we’ve got. Based on the acclaimed graphic novel. Watchmen is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the "Doomsday Clock" – which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union – is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion – a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers – Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity... but who is watching the Watchmen?" |
