Watch Felicity Jones Almost Smash Jimmy Fallon In The Face During A Star Wars Skit

It is often necessary for actors to get fight training in preparation for a big action movie. Felicity Jones learned Kung Fu to get ready for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Jimmy Fallon learned this up close. Jones was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and the host asked for a demonstration of her fight movies. When he got it, he also almost got a baton to the face. Check out the near miss at the 1:40 mark.

Felicity Jones seems to have a bit of a problem with the whole "slow motion" concept. To be fair, it would be a bit tough to swing that baton slowly without getting entirely out of rhythm. It's not like she learned the move in slow motion. It's muscle memory. When she does it in slow motion she has to think about it, when she pulls off the move normally, it's a fluid motion that probably comes naturally to her after the repeated hours of training she's been through.

Eventually, Jimmy Fallon wants to just bow out of the demonstration because he's become terrified that Felicity Jones is going to take him down for real. JynErso is a badass. She tried to warn him. Although, then it appears the two had practiced these moves before, because their little "acting" moment goes off perfectly.

We know from the trailers that Jyn Erso has lived a rough life on her own since her father was taken by the Empire in order to build the Death Star. We're guessing the character doesn't have the formal training that felicity Jones received, and instead has simply learned how to fight as part of the normal things one must do in order to survive in a rough universe alone.

Does anybody else ever get the impression that Hollywood actors are among the last people in the world that you'd want to mess with? So many have them have received professional fight training, many have received it in multiple fighting styles over the course of several films. Even if they don't necessarily keep up on it, you don't go through intensive training like that without remembering a few things here or there.

Every new piece of information only gets us more excited for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It looks like Felicity Jones is going to kick some serious ass in the new film. We'll know for sure when the movie hits theaters December 16.
