Did Scientologists Really Audition Women For Tom Cruise?
By Mack Rawden 2 years ago
Has there ever been a negative report written about Tom Cruise that didnít somehow relate to Scientology? The actorís belief system was once again front page news this weekend thanks to an auditioning women accusation that may or may not be true.
According to Vanity Fair, prior to Cruiseís relationship with future wife Katie Holmes, the Church of Scientology began a top secret project to find the actor a girlfriend. Scientologist actresses were allegedly filmed answering a series of questions, one of which involved Tom Cruise. After extensive research, Nazanin Boniadi was supposedly chosen, and she was flown to New York City to meet the Mission Impossible star. Confidentiality agreements were signed, dates were set up and she reportedly moved into his house.
If the overall story arc is to be believed, the relationship ended after a few short months, partially because Boniadi accidentally insulted Scientology head David Miscavige by repeatedly asking him to repeat himself. Obviously, Holmes came in the picture not long afterwards, and this story hasnít seen the light of day in seven years.
Over the years, there have been hundreds of strange reports about Church of Scientology behavior. Some of them are probably true, and some of them are probably false. As to where this one lies, itís unclear.
