Drake Graduates From High School 10 Years After Dropping Out

Some accomplishments never go out of style. No matter the decade, no matter the year, no matter the socioeconomic status, the life goals or the school attended, graduating is always a satisfying feeling. If you don’t believe me, just ask Drake. The rapper dropped out of high school at fifteen to work on Degrassi: The Next Generation, but earlier this year, he hired a tutor and began studying every week to try and earn his GED.

After five months of “working tirelessly”, the effort finally paid off this week when Drake passed his final exam with flying colors. Here’s what he had to say about the big moment via his Twitter account…

”97% on my final exam. 88% in the course. One of the greatest feelings in my entire life. As of tonight I have graduated high school!”

The more cynical among us might say going to school is the easiest avenue to finding a job, but even if that’s true, very few things improve self-esteem and make one a more well-rounded person than getting educated. That slip of paper is a testament to accomplishment, determination and stick-to-itiveness.

Pop Blend’s sincerest thoughts go out to Drake for finally graduating high school. He might not need a degree to support himself, but many of his biggest fans do. Here’s to hoping they see how much the accomplishment means to Drake and try to find that sense of fulfillment themselves.
