Liberty Ross and Rupert Sanders made an attempt to fix their marriage after he was famously caught cheating with Kristen Stewart. Unfortunately, it seems all that trouble was for naught. The model/ mother/ scorned wife and her attorney headed to the Los Angeles County Superior Court earlier this week and officially filed the divorce paperwork.

According to TMZ, in addition to an end to their marriage, Ross would like to share custody of the children, receive spousal support and have her soon-to-be ex-husband pay for her attorney. If Rupert’s response is any indication, she may be able to get those things too. He’s already agreed to joint custody, doesn’t want any spousal support of his own and is willing to split attorneys’ fees. After a round of negotiations, he’ll likely offer her some spousal support and eventually, he could wind up popping for the attorneys since he, of course, put them in this mess to begin with.

Ross and Sanders have two children, aged five and seven. By most accounts, they had some marital problems prior to the Stewart situation, but clearly, that proved to be the straw that broke the camel’s back in their relationship. Considering they did give it a go with counseling and still decided to split, it’s unlikely, there will be a change of heart before the paperwork is finalized.

Pop Blend’s sincerest thoughts go out to the former couple as they move forward apart. Here’s to hoping they still continue to coparent as a team for the sake of their kids.
