Macy’s has a pretty keen ability to lockdown perfume deals. The chain recently worked out a deal to launch Selena Gomez’s new scent, which will feature a tall bottle and some fan-picked smells. Another fragrance deal set to exclusively be sold at the chain retail giant has a bit more of an expensive look and odor.

After several decades of creating music, pop singer Madonna is set to delve into the world of perfumes. Most other pop giants have already created signature fragrances at one time or another in their careers, including Brittney Spears and Rihanna. Even Lady Gaga has a strange new perfume in the works. So why has it taken Madonna so many years to finally get a bottle of perfume together? The Material Girl says it's because her tastes are costly.
“It’s the mass-producing part that always gets tricky because, for some reason, the fragrances that I like tend to be really expensive. One time I created a smell and I was told the amber... was like a million dollars to ship from India or something."

The 53 year-old turned up at Macy’s in New York on Thursday night to launch her new fragrance. According to CBS News, the scent the singer has been working on for roughly “15 years” will be called Truth or Dare and will run for between $39 and $68 a bottle, depending on size. While I’m glad Madonna has been so careful about producing her brand new scent, let’s face it: half of buying perfume is having a cool bottle, and I’m not certain this one really makes its mark.
