Christina Aguilera's Rep Denies Rumor That She Was Fired From The Voice

The rumor that Christina Aguilera is the one the chopping block for the third season of The Voice has been vehemently denied by Christina’s camp. Her people say she’s in no danger of being fired from her position as a coach on the singing show, and contestants back her up with denials of rumors concerning her lackluster on-set behavior and coaching capabilities.

The report promising that Aguilera was on her way out after the upcoming second season cited sources who claim the songstress doesn’t live up to her coaching duties. But the actual recipients of the golden light of Xtina’s coaching say the opposite, and so too does her camp according to E! Online. Ex-Idol contestant turned The Voice phenom Frenchie Davis says Aguilera “really gives a damn” about the contestants she coaches, contrary to the rumors that she doesn’t care and fails to spend any quality time with her young charges.

Aguilera is under contract for the second season of the singing competition, which is set to premiere on February 5th of 2012. In spite of the report that she will be fired after the upcoming season for her unhelpful attitude there appears to be no reason to think she’s going anywhere, at least not based on these rumors. NBC will air the premiere of the competition right after the Super Bowl, a strong vote of confidence for the show’s sophomore season. Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will all join Aguilera in the coaching chairs. For now, the rumors that Christina will be replaced after the second season appear to be, in the words of her rep, "absolutely false."
