NBC's wasting no time getting back into the swing of things in the new year. The network is bringing Parenthood back from the hiatus tomorrow night for the first of the final four episodes of Season 1. From the clips that have made their way online, there are some major family matters and emotional topics set to be dealt with. But it's Parenthood, so that's not exactly a spoiler. But there are spoilers ahead! So read and watch the videos ahead at your own risk!
TVLine shared the videos below, the first of which begins as a promo that looks back at the first part of Season 4 and what the Bravermans have been going through. That leads up to a brief scene from an upcoming episode, which shows Kristina in what appears to be yet another very emotional moment for her in her battle with cancer.
Based on this clip, it looks like Julia is set to face another challenge with Victor.
This is one of the things I really love about this show. It doesn't gloss over or shy away from some of the challenges parents face in various situations. In the case of Victor, it's the "real mother" subject. He's adopted, but he has a biological mother out there and regardless of the woman's history, she still matters to him, which is understandable. And at the same time, Julia is growing to love him as her own son, so it can't be easy for her to hear the words "real mother." So it'll be interesting to see how Julia handles that and what it means for the family.
Finally, Jasmine serves Crosby some pancakes and then asks him for a favor.
Would it be wrong of Crosby to ask what, exactly, the money is for? Is it debt or does she have bills? Does he have a "right" to ask that? It sounds like a tricky situation, especially when that much money is involved.
Parenthood returns Tuesday, January 1 at 10:00 p.m. ET on NBC.
