Party Of Five's Scott Wolf Joins Season 2 Of Perception

TNT’s Perception will be getting a visit from Party of Five star Scott Wolf in the new season. He has signed on for a major recurring role in Season 2 of the drama, which stars Eric McCormack as an eccentric neuroscientist.

Wolf’s role for the show will be that of Donnie, an Irish-Catholic, Chicago-born White Sox fan from a blue collar background. He’s now an Assistant U.S. Attorney on the fast track and has been transferred back to his hometown. While the transfer appears to be coincidence on the surface, it seems Donnie may have some ulterior motives that have to do with Kate (Rachel Leigh Cook), with whom he is in the middle of divorce proceedings.

Party of Five was the show that made Wolf a star; he spent six seasons on the drama as Bailey Salinger. He then moved on to a recurring role on Everwood and more recently he starred in the V reboot that lasted two seasons. He guested on NCIS last year and has also been lending his voice talent to the animated series Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters.

Perception focuses on Dr. Daniel Pierce (McCormack), a professor of neuroscience who also happens to be schizophrenic. Kate, with whom Wolf’s new character is clearly intertwined, is a former student of Pierce’s who works with the FBI, and often looks to her professor for help with tough cases. The show earned a second season renewal this summer before the first season wrapped thanks to strong ratings. There’s no premiere date yet for the second season, but we’ll keep you updated.
