Later this month, The Colbert Report is expanding itself to a full hour, making history in the process, in an effort to give the band Radiohead enough time to unleash their greatness upon its viewers.
Comedy Central announced the news today, stating that the September 26th episode of The Colbert Report will be doubled in size for the first time ever. In addition to the regular segments featured on the show, the band will be interviewed and perform songs off their recent album King of Limbs. An unreleased track called “The Daily Mail” will be performed as well.
"I look forward to meeting the Radioheads and leveraging their anti-corporate indie cred to raise brand awareness for my sponsors," said Colbert.
The episode airs Monday, September 26 from 11:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
When I think of Radiohead and Comedy Central together, one of my favorite episodes of South Park comes to mind. You can watch Radio Head’s appearance in the clips below, or watch the full episode here.
