Scandal Season 2, Episode 15 - Boom Goes The Dynamite Preview

Last night's episode of Scandal was titled "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot," and in retrospect that seems fitting, because WTF?! The series took a couple of bizarre turns, and left off with a promo that hints that Olivia is in danger. And just when things were getting back to normal! Ok, nothing was getting back to normal, but this season has spiraled into a strange and dark place.

Only in a Shonda Rhimes show can a Christening have that much sexual tension going on. Time has past since Fitz learned about Defiance. Of course, it only took a few minutes in a room together for things to heat up again for Fitz and Olivia. And then it was off to the server room for a fast romp followed by Fitz re-dumping Olivia. Just in case she was confused. He "may not be able to control his erections" around her but they. Are done. Seriously? In addition to tension with Olivia, Fitz also has a possible mole inside the White House to deal with, and as though things couldn't get more complicated in his life, he and Mellie shared an tense and borderline violent- turned emotional shower scene together, which suggests he may be looking to her for emotional support. Could these two be headed toward some kind of reconciliation?

Meanwhile, Olivia has a new man. Played by Scott Foley, Jake Weston is handsome and charming and… a total creepy stalker who's watching Olivia. What's his motive? The promo for next week's "Boom Goes the Dynamite" asks that very question…

Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot.

I love Scott Foley, and since we usually don't see him in villainous roles (Scream 2's an exception), it'll be interesting to see how this story plays out and what this guy is up to. It also looks like Abby and David are kind of rekindling their fling with some steamy car sex. Interesting.

Scandal airs Thursdays at 10:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
