Season Four Of Prison Break Breaks Into Stores June 2nd

Why would you want to break into a facility when you’ve worked so hard to break out of one? The brothers of Prison Break must have their reasons because that’s exactly what you can see them try to do when the fourth season of the show hits DVD on June 2nd.

They’ve escaped from Fox River State Penitentiary, lived as fugitives, escaped from Sona in Panama and now Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) and Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) seek justice against The Company, once and for all. In order to take down the corrupt group that destroyed their lives, Lincoln and Michael recruit a team of former inmates and an FBI agent so they can steal the ‘black book’ and reunite Michael with the woman he loves.

There’s a reason that season four is the final season of Prison Break. The first season was novel. It told the riveting story of an effort to break a wrongly convicted guy out of jail. In order to keep the show alive, the plot got complicated. The diehard fans held on but began to drop of when the storyline got increasingly convoluted in the third season. Now, the concept is spent and Prison Break must end. Nobody can be blamed for the series’ demise; that’s just what happens when you have a television show with a continuous scheme as a backbone. Shows like ER are able to withstand time because, while they do have themes that run throughout a number of episodes, they provide you will a completely different story every episode. You could never have watched the show before, and still enjoy tuning in. Just look at what’s happening with shows like Lost and Heroes. Even the devoted fans are catching themselves asking, “What the heck is going on here?”

If you are a Prison Break fan or are looking to continue your experience with the show on DVD, you can pick up this six-disc set for $49.98. You’ll get all 20 episodes in addition to some commentary, “Fade to Black: The Final Episode” and “Director’s World.” If you are planning to wait for the DVD release and don’t want to spoil the season, be sure to avoid the airing of the final six episodes, which beings Friday, April 17th.
