War Inc. Battlezone Goes Into Open Beta, Available On Steam

The indie, free-to-play, first-person online shooter, War Inc. Battlezone is currently available on Steam and is open for all to experience in its no-holds-barred beta. Online Warmongers sent out word that the game is up and running for anyone brave enough to step foot in the virtual arena.

Sergey Titov, CEO of Online Warmongers commented in the press release about the recent release of the game, saying…

“We have spent three months in closed beta polishing what we took years to painstakingly develop, a tactical clan-based shooter visually rooted in realism and focused on competition and community driven game play,” … “As we move into open beta, we want to get the word out to multiplayer shooter fans everywhere that the time has come to change their game.”

Supposedly, War Inc. Battlezone is a more realistic FPS. Hopefully it’s not as frustrating as Arma 2 but maintains a lot of gun mechanics that made Operation 7 fun.

War Inc. is also one of the few free-to-play first-person shooters available through Steam, along with Alliance of Valiant Arms, which is better known as the Korean’s version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

War Inc. Battlezone sports night missions, destructible light sources, 64 players, diverse game modes, large-scale maps, and a deep rooted customization feature. Sounds like a nifty new F2P worth checking out. Oh, and the developers mentioned that the cash shop is not pay-to-win based (I’m looking at you Metal Assault).

You can check out the game over at Steam or learn more by visiting the Official Website.
