Persona 5 Has Big Plans For E3, Get The Details

Atlus has revealed some of what you can expect from their booth at E3 this year with Persona 5 headlining their content. They will have character designer Shigenori Soejima on hand to answer fan questions, as well as featuring guests to come on stage to talk about the game and its design.

According to IGN, Atlus and Sega will not be standing by idly at this year's event. They will have Persona 5 on hand, along with special events and Q&A sessions with the team to discuss all things Persona.

On June 14th they'll spend the afternoon talking about the Person 5 character designs with Shigenori Soejima, as well as discuss some of the inspiration behind the art. On June 15 they'll have an autograph session in the morning, leaving the rest of the day for more content demonstrations. On the final day, June 16th, they'll have a Q&A session that visitors can partake in. They don't exactly detail who all will be on hand for the June 16th Q&A session.

In addition to having Persona 5 up and out and on display, Sega and Atlus will also focus on Yakuza 0, Hatsune Miku, 7th Dragon III, Sonic Boom, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse and one of my personal favorites, The King of Fighters XIV, which Atlus will be publishing for SNK in North America.

Additionally, Atlus will have various limited edition memorabilia to give away featuring Persona 5, including artwork, a hat based on the talking cat, Morgana, and a bag.

Persona 5 is the latest in the long running JRPG series, which combines supernatural themes with action-oriented combat and – based on the trailers released for the upcoming JRPG – some platforming elements.

This newest game is stylized in a very cool way, with the main characters being the thrill-seekers this time around, going out of their way to find danger and intrigue where it was previously lacking in their lives. Players will still control a team of teenagers, this time taking place in the bustling and expansive metropolitan area that sees players traveling across a wide range of locations.

The director also noted that there will be less of a focus on being dragged through the story having to solve mysteries, and instead the protagonists will be going out of their way to leave their mark on the world, all while drawing out a hidden evil that comes after them.

I can't fault the designers for wanting to take a different route with Persona by focusing more on how these characters are going out of their way to find their own identity and to grow their characters as they see fit.

There will likely be some trailers on hand for the newest Persona game at this year's E3, which gets underway next week. Unfortunately gamers wanting to find out when they can get their hands on the game are fresh out of luck because no release date has been revealed yet for North Americans. Persona 5 is due for release on the PS3 and PS4.
