Now, if you're trying to access the free anniversary pack from the PlayStation Store through your PlayStation 4, it may give you an error and prevent you from accessing the pack from the free section of the storefront. Alternatively, you just need to head to the PlayStation Store through your web browser or your smartphone, add the anniversary pack to your shopping cart, sign-in, checkout and then have the packs remotely downloaded to your PlayStation 4 home console.
The various dynamic themes contain animated backgrounds with color schemes based on Naughty Dog's popular third-person action shooter franchise. The themes also come with their own musical themes as well. The 10th-anniversary pack contains iconography made up of a collage of items that Nathan Drake and the rest of the crew encountered throughout the four Uncharted games.
The Uncharted 2 theme is set within the snowy mountains, where the dagger is firmly lodged in the icy ground below. As you move around the option menus, it scrolls out and gives gamers a look at the wrecked train in the background, which is pretty cool.
The Uncharted 4 dynamic themes are actually quite dynamic. The fire theme sees Nate sitting against a post while fire rages in the back. The icons in the options menu all change to gold coin relics while solemn music plays in the background. The inked theme is interesting because it fades in and out of concept images that are inked in via animations. It works as a pretty cool screen saver in addition to being a neat background.
One of the most impressive themes is most definitely the shipwreck from Uncharted 4. It's certainly themed for screen saver purposes, but the cool god-ray sun casting from above that rotates around the wrecked ship in the back while fish swim by and the Uncharted 4 theme slowly and ethereally plays in the background really makes it standout. It's a shame Uncharted 3 didn't get more love, but if you're a fan of the series since its debut back in 2007, you'll definitely love the free 10th-anniversary pack.
