Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition Now Available For Wii U

Warner Bros. Interactive sent out word that their re-release of Batman: Arkham City for the Wii U is currently available for purchase ahead of the Wii U's official console launch. Armored Edition brings with it a number of new changes and updates to the game for people who enjoyed Arkham City on the other three gaming platforms.

Reid Schneider, Vice President and Executive Producer, WB Games Montréal commented in the press release about the availability of Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition, saying...

“The team at WB Games Montréal focused on developing new features for Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition in order to create an immersive gameplay experience on the Wii U and Wii U GamePad,” ... “Rocksteady made an outstanding game with Batman: Arkham City, so we believe Batman fans will be thrilled with the enhanced combat and new gameplay elements added on Wii U.”

Some of the new things includes Batman and Catwoman's new armor, as well as new ways to use gadgets by incorporating motion-based movement tied to the Wii U's GamePad. The new scanning system using the GamePad's interface also adds an extra level of immersion for the detective work scattered throughout the game.

If you haven't already played Batman: Arkham City on the PS3, Xbox 360 or PC and you're looking for a game to help fill out your Wii U library before the system actually launches, you can't really go wrong with Batman.

Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition is available right now for the Wii U. The Wii U will be available next Sunday on November 18th.
