Last week, a rumor sprang up that Beyond Good and Evil designer Michel Ancel had left Ubisoft and that the game's sequel was subsequently put on hold. Not so, though.
Ubisoft confirmed to Eurogamer that Ancel's still with Ubisoft. What's more, BG&E2 is still in development. Pretty definitive, that.
BG&E2 seems to be the victim of a cancellation rumor every six months. The game's a prime candidate for such gossip considering that 1) the first one sold like three copies, and B) Ubisoft hasn't released any information about it. It was a complete no-show at E3 2009 but hopefully they'll toss fans - Jerry, Bill, John - a bone this year.
