Conan Reviews WWE 2K14 On Clueless Gamer

Conan has returned to the forefront of gaming with a brand spanking new version of the Clueless Gamer, this time rocking some tight spandex shorts and a lot of machismo from 2K Games' WWE 2K14, courtesy of Hardcore Gamer.

Even though WWE 2K14 is ripe with glitch moments and shoddy mechanics galore, sadly the video plays it pretty straight, with Conan and his sidekick doing the standard-fare stuff. It's also surprising how easy it was for Conan to pick up the controls. I have to be honest, the recent WWE games haven't had the easiest controls to master and there's a lot of fumbling to be done to get some of the basics executed. It's impressive that Conan was able to do what he did in such a short period of time.

Unlike a lot of other Clueless Gamer videos, there's nothing particularly interesting about this one that highlights some faulty game mechanics or ridiculous broken feature.

In Grand Theft Auto V's Clueless Gamer video we saw how Conan had a hard time trying to master the controls and needed a bit of help to shoot while driving. With Resident Evil 6 there was a host of ridiculous things highlighted in the video to give gamers and non-gamers a like plenty to chuckle at, from the calamari zombies to the lobster shell monsters drenched in teriyaki sauce. Sadly, WWE 2K14 doesn't have any teriyaki sauce.

It was pretty hilarious seeing the created Conan character taking on The Rock. The thing was pretty much the typical ridiculous-created-character-who's-fun-to-laugh-at-for-five-minutes-but-then-gets-boring-quickly. It's a common problem for most of the WWE games since they've moved away from the dynamic storytelling of the matches themselves and have become sort of gimmicky. Remember how you could sit on the edge of your seat in a WWF No Mercy match, constantly trying to see who would come out on top.

Nevertheless, the little extra promotion that Conan gives to WWE 2K14 is only going to help 2K Games, and give them a little extra presence as they prepare for the inevitable WWE 2K15 set for release sometime later this year.

WWE 2K14 is available right now for old-gen consoles and new-gen consoles alike. The game sports a bunch of the recent WWE superstars on the roster, even ones that are no longer active, such as the “I'll take my ball and go home with it” CM Punk. He's not much of a hero anymore is he?

You can grab a copy from local retailers or pick up a used box from the bargain bin at your nearest GameStop. For more info feel free to pay a visit to the official WWE 2K website.
