If the movie Universal Soldier and a neon sign had a baby, what would it look like? The answer: Far Cry 3's upcoming expansion Blood Dragon. The first screenshots and trailer suggest this might be the weirdest DLC ever released for a game.

Blood Dragon's story seems to be inspired by a sci-fi action movie from the eighties. Here's the synopsis from the official website:
The year is 2007. It is the future. Earth has been ravaged by a nuclear war and new paths for peace must be found. A U.S. cyborg army may have found a solution: a powerful bioweapon on a distant island. A Mark IV Cyber Commando, Sergeant Rex Power Colt has been sent over to gather information and figure out what the hell is going on.

The screenshots don't look like Far Cry 3 at all. The jungles and shanty towns have been replaced with futuristic laboratories and missile silos. Electric blue blood flies from an enemy's face. The main character's power armor glimmers with toxic green lights.

No release date for Blood Dragon has been announced yet. In fact, Ubisoft hasn't formally announced this DLC at all. Hopefully they do so soon, though. The world needs you, Sergeant Rex Power Colt.
