343 Industries delivered the launch trailer for Halo 4 on Thursday night. The live-action video, called "Scanned," looks at the long and violent life of Master Chief.
The trailer opens with the Chief being held in bondage by the Prometheans. This enemy then scans his mind. Most of the rest of the trailer is made up of Master Chief's memories as a child, cadet, and eventually soldier. The footage of him fighting a Promethean squad is especially stunning.
343 enlisted world class talent to make the video. It was directed by Tim Miller, the visuals effects lead from Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. David Fincher, the director of The Social Network and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, served as the producer.
Halo 4 will make its worldwide debut on November 6th.
