Halo: Reach's VGA trailer pegged the game for a Fall 2010 release. That estimate seems to have been narrowed down further today.

Electronic Theatre, citing "sources in UK retail and marketing," states that the game will hit stores on September 24th. As ET notes, Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST were released in the last week of September in 2007 and 2009, respectively, so this date seems plausible. Don't put in for vacation until Microsoft confirms that date, though.

Reach is the last Halo game to be developed by Bungie. A multiplayer beta is scheduled for this spring.
