This week's slate of downloadable Nintendo releases will have you running around in your underwear and crying a lot. Yes, they've added Ghosts 'n Goblins to Virtual Console.
Ghosts is a side-scroller first released in 1985. You play Arthur, a brave knight who must battle monsters and rescue a princess. The only problem is that he dies horribly after being hit twice. The first hit knocks off your armor, forcing you to finish the level in your underwear. There, now you understand the first sentence of this article.
The NES port of this game was already released through Virtual Console in 2007. The new release is the arcade version, which is slightly better on audio and visuals than its console counterpart. Also, it lets you configure the difficulty so you'll be less inclined to bash your Wiimote.
