Seems like only yesterday we were talking about Star Trek Online getting shelved by its previous developer. Now it's got a release date and everything. They grow up so fast, those sci-fi MMORPG's.
Cryptic and Atari confirmed to Eurogamer today that the game will be released on February 2nd, 2010 in North America. The European launch will occur on February 5th. Apparently these dates had been revealed through online retailers earlier this week. Retailers often just list estimates but it seems they had the right data this time.
The closed beta for STO began a couple weeks ago. The beta will expand over time so you still have time to get in. Just fill out the online registration form and keep an email on your inbox.
