Why Monday Night Combat Gets PC Updates And Xbox 360 Doesn't

Apparently gamers have really taken a liking to Monday Night Combat, so much so that many fans of the action title are wondering where the updates are for the Xbox 360 version of the game. There’s a reasonable answer behind it even if you don’t like it.

According to XBLA Fans, they did a little digging and found out that developer Uber Entertainment does have plans for more content just don’t expect it to arrive soon on your Xbox 360.

Uber’s Chandana Ekanayake shared some comments on the content disparity between the PC and 360, saying…

We haven’t forgotten about the 360 but there won’t be an update until we get everything switched over to the new engine (in progress now) and we figure out with MS on the best way to update the 360 version and continue to update in the future. It will be a pretty significant update that will contain a lot of the content, bug fixes, and balance (where appropriate) that was done for Steam.

For the most part Uber is using Steam (PC version) as a test bed of sorts for new content before they go through the arduous testing process associated with getting new DLC up for XBLA games. So it's not that there won't be or can't be 360 content, it's just that it takes longer to get the stuff approved so they want to make sure it's all done right. They're using the pimply faced PC crowd as testers for new stuff, so don't feel bad dear 360 gamers.

And there you have it…Monday Night Combat will be getting new content on the Xbox 360, just not very soon. You can read the whole article and findings over at XBLA Fans.
