42 High-Res Screenshots From The Excellent Hunger Games Trailer

This morning, the excellent trailer for The Hunger Games arrived online, giving us a pretty good look at the movie, which unfortunately won’t hit theaters until next year. We grabbed some screenshots from the trailer for those of you who want a better look.

As Katey pointed out, the trailer shows a lot from the movie, although it does a nice job of not spoiling us on what’s ahead for Katniss and Peeta as the games begin. For those of us who have read the books, getting to see Peeta, Gale, Katniss, Rue, Effie, Haymitch, President Snow, Prim and some of the other characters in costume and in action, is one of the most exciting things about the trailer. Below are some screenshots, which should allow you to take a closer look at everyone, as well as a few key scenes, like Katniss showing off her archery skills, and the start of the games. We also get a couple of great looks at the Capitol.
