The Amazing Spider-Man Gets A Brand New Poster
Over the past few days we've been getting tons of news about the finale of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, but that movie is only one of many superhero films being released next year. There's also The Avengers, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, and, of course, The Amazing Spider-Man. It has actually been a while since we last heard anything official about the wall-crawler (concept art and Pez dispensers not withstanding). That pattern gets broken today.
SHH has received a brand spanking new poster for The Amazing Spider-Man. Check it out below or head over there to see it full-size.
I really love this design. Unlike most posters, which are all about big names/faces and flash, this one is all about design and style and they did a great job. You can't really tell that it's Andrew Garfield perched on the wall up there, but that's why you have us, right? I do still find it weird how dark they are making the movie seem, but we'll just have to wait until July 3, 2012 to learn the film's actual tone.
The Amazing Spider-Man, directed by Marc Webb, sees Spidey return to theaters for the first time since Spider-Man 3 in 2007. In addition to retelling the origin story, Peter Parker must face off against a villain never before seen on screen: The Lizard. In addition to Garfield, the movie stars Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Denis Leary, Julianne Nicholson, Campbell Scott and Irrfan Khan.
